Job summary

TMF Group is seeking a finance professional to join the Amsterdam team, supporting day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks for client entities and ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

You will work with local and international clients, advisers, banks, and regulatory bodies, preparing statutory statements and assisting in cash management while complying with Dutch GAAP and IFRS. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Good understanding of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Interest in financial processes, reporting and compliance environments.
• Experience with financial systems (SAP, CaseWare, Dynamics) is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch and strong English communication (written and verbal).
• High attention to detail and ability to work in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local and international clients, advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide day-to-day financial, accounting, and administrative support to client entities.
• Assist in maintaining accounting records, including journal entries and financial data.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and client-specific reports.
• Assist in cash management activities, including bank administration and payment processing.
• Prepare and support reporting to regulatory authorities such as Chamber of Commerce and Tax Authorities.
• Work closely with senior team members and support ongoing projects.
• Maintain accurate client files and ensure proper documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to support reporting and compliance processes.
• Identify discrepancies or issues and elevate where appropriate.
• Support the preparation of tax-related documentation (e.g. corporate income tax, VAT where applicable).
• Assist in monitoring outstanding receivables and support billing processes.
• Participate in client meetings where required and provide support in stakeholder communication.
• Ensure all work is delivered in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
