Job summary

Vanderlande in Veghel seeks a Controls Project Engineer to design, program and test PLC software for world‑wide material handling projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team during the engineering phase and later commission at customer sites globally, with travel up to 50%.

You will develop PLC controls per project specs, test and integrate software, monitor budgets and schedules, and contribute to ongoing product/process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Controls Technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of time.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC controls in compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with project leaders, integration managers, mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Test and commission PLC systems at customer sites globally.
• Integrate PLC software into the overall control system and support customer acceptance testing.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and milestones, and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide feedback and best practices to continuously improve products and processes.
