Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands is seeking a Senior Consultant in ESG Assurance to apply expertise in sustainability reporting and regulatory knowledge to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions for clients.

In this role you will help clients navigate ESG reporting regulations, discuss risks with stakeholders, align ambitions with a compliant reporting framework, advise on controls, and support audit teams in assurance over sustainability disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or (Post) Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or Sustainability.
• CA (SA) designation or eligibility, with RA or ACCA education in progress or completed.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in audit or sustainability reporting.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Dutch.

• Helping clients navigate the evolving landscape of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting regulations;
• Participating in discussions with clients, identifying ESG risks and opportunities from a business perspective and facilitating discussions with the client's key stakeholders;
• Aligning their sustainability ambitions with a compliant, yet value-driven reporting framework;
• Advising clients on ESG reporting best practices and internal controls;
• Drafting and reviewing sustainability reporting disclosures for integrated reporting and ensuring audit readiness;
• Evaluating how sustainability and climate risks could impact financial reporting.

Furthermore you assist audit teams in providing assurance over sustainability reporting and collaborate ross-function to provide integrated sustainability solutions for our clients.
