Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Climate-focused software engineer to own delivery from problem discovery to production. You will build emissions intelligence into routing, timing, and inventory decisions, working with the Climate Manager to shape the product roadmap and drive impactful features.

You will have substantial autonomy, collaborate across engineering teams, and help Flexport connect climate insights with operational decisions in a dynamic Amsterdam-based setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to work independently with unclear specs and priorities.
• Strong product judgment balancing impact and effort.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Own features across UI, backend, and data integrations.
• Love for simple, well-tested, maintainable code.
• Reliability and ongoing maintenance focus.
• Bias for action with ability to seek input when needed.
• Fast learner across new domains and technologies.
