Job summary

Emergent, a Delft-based defense-tech startup, seeks a Senior Systems Integration Engineer / Tech Lead to unite radar, RF, EO/IR, and other sensors with C2 and effectors into a deployable system. You will own end-to-end integration in a fast-paced environment.

You will set the technical direction, lead a small engineering team, stay hands-on with development, testing, HIL/SIL, and V&V, and collaborate with founders, clients, and partners to move prototypes to customer-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in a technical field and relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years integrating complex systems of systems, ideally C-UAS or IAMD.
• Proven experience with system integration, sensor fusion, and decision-making / effector cueing.
• Experience defining interfaces (ICDs, message buses, data models) across multi-vendor subsystems.
• Experience leading engineering teams or major technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Own C-UAS system integration end to end across sensors and subsystems.
• Lead C2 integration: define interfaces, message buses, data models.
• Drive sensor fusion, track management and classification.
• Own the decision-making layer and integration with effectors.
• Set architectural direction for modular, interoperable systems.
