Job summary

Cboe Europe in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to help build and operate the real-time trading platform used across pan-European equities markets. You’ll design and implement high-performance C++ components, working closely with European and US teams to deliver robust, scalable systems.

You’ll own features end-to-end, mentor peers, participate in interviewing, and diagnose production issues.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with modern C++ in high-performance systems.
• Ownership of features from design to production.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication with stakeholders across the business.
• Experience with Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and extend high-performance C++ functionality across our five Equities Trading Environments
• Build performant systems, with a strong focus on quality, testability and production readiness
• Own features end-to-end, coordinating with other engineers and business stakeholders from design through to delivery
• Mentor other software engineers, and act as subject matter expert for one or more of our systems
• Take part in interviewing and evaluating software engineer candidates
• Provide technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex production issues
• Provide support outside of normal working hours as needed
