OLYX in Amsterdam seeks a full-time Broker for the German market to facilitate and optimize transactions across a diverse client portfolio in the biofuel supply chain. You will identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Native-level German and excellent command of English.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar roles; biofuel experience preferred.
• Strong commercial drive with a proactive, deal-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build long-term relationships.
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Curious about sustainability, energy markets, and global trade.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships and understand their needs across the biofuel supply chain. Provide tailored solutions, market insights, and identify domestic and international arbitrage opportunities in collaboration with other OLYX desks.
• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong business sense with market dynamics and strategic thinking. Identify opportunities, assess risks, and make data-informed decisions that drive growth.
• Market Analysis: Stay up to date with developments in the German and European biofuel markets, including regulatory changes, pricing trends, and project opportunities.

About The Job

We are looking for a full-time (40-hour) Broker for the German market to join our team at our head office on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating and optimising transactions across a diverse client portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of the complex biofuel landscape, including identifying opportunities, negotiating transactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships and understand their needs across the biofuel supply chain. Provide tailored solutions, market insights, and identify both domestic and international arbitrage opportunities in collaboration with other OLYX desks.

Job Requirements

• Native-level German and an excellent command of English.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar roles is required, and biofuel experience is preferred.
• Strong commercial drive with a proactive, deal-oriented mindset. You enjoy closing deals and outperforming targets.
• Analytical and strategic thinker, able to navigate complex markets and translate data into opportunities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.
