Job summary
Atlas NextWave is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site commissioning of battery energy storage projects across the Netherlands, with occasional international travel. You will own electrical testing, system integration, troubleshooting, and handover, ensuring safe, compliant operation and performance.
The role requires an HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation, 10+ years in commissioning or electrical projects (ideally energy storage or HV systems), PLC
Qualifications
- Experience supervising and guiding technical colleagues.
- Experience with PLC systems, such as Siemens, and embedded software.
- Strong Dutch and English communication skills.
- HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site commissioning of energy storage installations and verify system integration.
- Perform electrical measurements, tests, and inspections on low- and high-voltage components.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across electrical, control, and software systems.
- Carry out maintenance in line with standards (NEN 3140/3840).
- Check installation quality and feed improvements back to development teams.
- Prepare technical reports, including deviations and inspection findings.
- Supervise technicians and support less experienced colleagues.
- Participate in on-call and standby rotations.
