Job summary

Nederlandse Loterij is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to ensure quality in the Subscriptions and Payments domain within a modern microservices architecture. You’ll design manual and automated tests, expand CI/CD test automation, and collaborate in an international agile team to improve our systems.

You’ll test backend processes and APIs, have strong experience with REST/JSON, and contribute to data-driven decision making while maintaining and enhancing regression suites and delivery

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of experience as a software tester with focus on API/back-end testing.
• Proficient in REST API testing (JSON).
• Experience with test frameworks (ReadyAPI, Selenium).
• Experience with CI/CD test automation (Jenkins or similar).
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control (GitLab).
• Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle (SQA) and automation.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Experience with batch processes, asynchronous flows, and/or payment/subscription domains.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and translate into manual and automated test cases.
• Expand and maintain test automation within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Test and validate batch and time-dependent processes.
• Maintain and extend regression test suite.
• Report on test results and advise on improvements.
• Collaborate in an international, agile team and contribute to team growth.
