Job summary

Simvia in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer based in the Netherlands to join a growing engineering team. You will own backend features, work with Python, PostgreSQL, and testing pipelines (Pytest), with opportunities for ownership and growth, flexible work options including in‑office Amsterdam and partial remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Backend Development.
• 5+ years experience with Python.
• Extensive Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Python testing frameworks (Pytest).

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in Backend Development

• 5+ years experience with Python

• Extensive Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)

• Extensive Experience with Python testing frameworks e.g. Pytest.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Django, or similar such as Flask or FastAPI.

• Experience with AWS, e.g. EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3.

• Experience working in agile teams using processes such as SCRUM & KANBAN

• Modern front-end development experience, preferably React
