Job summary

Swapfiets is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to empower its Platform team in Amsterdam. You will shape the engineering environment, enabling product teams to deliver value through technology.

You will own infrastructure improvements, deployment automation, and secure access to data, while ensuring robust, scalable systems and a culture of continuous improvement. The role demands 7–10 years of backend experience, strong C#/.NET skills, Docker, and hands-on CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience on complex and scalable problems.
• Backend engineer with strong software development lifecycle experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and modern dev tools; Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with digital product teams to understand needs and improve infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain generic deployment/build templates to streamline production releases.
• Ensure secure access to data and systems with best-practices for security and compliance.
• Participate in projects to improve engineering processes and tooling.
• Develop tools, guidelines and shared infrastructure for product teams.
• Be prepared to handle production-related issues and incidents.
