Bitvavo, a rapidly growing Netherlands-based crypto exchange, is expanding its core backend teams to deliver low-latency services for a scalable customer experience.

As a senior backend engineer, you will collaborate with your Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer and the team to craft highly performant JVM services in Kotlin, address performance challenges, and participate in architecture decisions and incident rotations.

Formación

• 5+ years of development experience, preferably in backend systems.
• Strong understanding of low-level JVM and OS concepts.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and design patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and team to build high-performance, low-latency services.
• Address technical challenges with benchmarking and measurements for peak performance.
• Contribute to technology stack decisions and architectural design.
• Participate in incident rotations to resolve production issues.
