Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is helping a client hire a senior infrastructure engineer to own an Azure platform, steer multi-region design, global connectivity, identity and security boundaries, and cost and resilience. You’ll still write Terraform and stay hands-on with incidents, while guiding clients’ engineers.

The role is not management; authority comes from being the most experienced engineer. Hybrid work with offices in Amsterdam or Rotterdam or client site.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure engineering, several on Azure at scale.
• Designed and built cloud platforms in more than one organisation.
• Multi region and global setups, connectivity, identity and security boundaries.
• Terraform or Bicep as default, plus PowerShell or Python.
• Background before the cloud (data centre, bare metal or virtualization).
• Comfortable leading technical discussions with a client’s engineers and architects.
• Fluent English, Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of an Azure platform and its direction.
• Design multi-region, global connectivity and security boundaries.
• Work on identity, cost management and resilience aspects.
• Continue writing Terraform or Bicep and handle incidents.
• Lead technical conversations with client engineers and architects.
