Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, build and continually improve the client’s online platform on Azure. You’ll implement IaC, manage CI/CD pipelines and guide delivery teams in adopting best practices.

You will work with Docker, AKS, ACR, and Azure Monitor to ensure resilient deployments and robust monitoring. A strong focus on security, automation, and cross-functional collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Git repository management, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates and Terraform.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Experience integrating SAST tools such as SonarQube into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Good understanding of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
• Strong willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Experience with Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Container Registry (ACR) is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting AKS, Docker containers, and Kubernetes environments is an advantage.
• Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Design, build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Establish and improve automated DevOps release management processes and promote Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) best practices.
• Manage application deployments, updates, patches, and release activities.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, rollback, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement and enhance application monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and logging using Azure-native monitoring tools.
• Design and manage secure, reliable, and scalable deployment pipelines for cloud-based applications.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support delivery teams by providing technical guidance and DevOps solutions.
• Implement DevOps best practices in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design and deliver secure solutions across infrastructure, applications, and data layers.
