Job summary

NES Fircroft in Breda seeks an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join the Equipment Automation team in a growing biotechnology manufacturing setting. The role covers automation of new and upgraded manufacturing equipment across device assembly, inspection, labelling and packaging, focusing on reliability, cybersecurity, compliance and lifecycle readiness.

Qualifications

Hard requirements: Degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial Information Systems or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years delivering automation solutions in regulated manufacturing (biotech/pharma).
Experience delivering projects in global, cross-functional environments.
Hands-on with labelling and packaging equipment.
GMP-regulated environment experience; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

Manage automation deliverables aligned with project timelines and business needs.
Support NPI activities on site; participate in FAT, commissioning and start-up.
Ensure equipment complies with site automation and cybersecurity standards.
Prepare and review URS, FDS, HDS, SDS; install, test and commission equipment.
Ensure integration into manufacturing networks including domain settings and firewall requirements.
Develop automation documentation and provide training to teams.
