Job summary

AtS[&]T in Delft seeks a Senior AIT Engineer to lead assembly, integration and test activities for satellite hardware. You will own AI&T campaigns and shape the test philosophy, verification strategy, and documentation across multiple suppliers and partners.

You will work on-site in Delft with extended assignments at partner facilities, defining test procedures, validating hardware readiness, and developing the AI&T capability within a growing space engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Optomechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in assembly, integration, and testing of complex hardware systems, including system-level work.
• Experience owning an integration and test campaign from planning to delivery.
• Hands-on with environmental or qualification testing (vibration, shock, TVAC) or similar.
• Experience with spacecraft AI&T across platform, payload, subsystem, or mission level.
• Experience defining, specifying and procuring mechanical and/or electrical GSE.
• Ability to assess supplier work and make technical acceptance/rejection decisions.
• Dutch language working proficiency and ability to work in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AI&T philosophy and strategy for the programme.
• Plan and execute EM and flatsat activities, including procedure development and test execution.
• Lead or participate in TRRs and Test Review Boards.
• Develop and validate AI&T plans, test specifications and procedures at system and supplier level.
• Oversee environmental and functional qualification campaigns (vibration, shock, TVAC, EMC).
• Provide realistic integration and test durations for programme planning.
