Job summary

InSpace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the NOVA AI platform, translating business challenges into scalable backend solutions. You will design architecture, implement AI-native workflows, and orchestrate LLM integrations across systems to deliver reliable, high-performance software.

You will build and optimize AI-driven pipelines, validate outputs, and ensure security and production-readiness while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a software engineer on complex, scalable SaaS products
• Think in terms of problem, product, and architecture rather than code alone
• Strong fundamentals: system design, testing, CI/CD, maintainability, secure development
• Able to explain technical decisions and trade-offs independently
• thrives in a fast-growing scale-up and helps create structure
• Excellent communication and ability to challenge decisions
• Willing to work from the High Tech Campus office in Eindhoven
• Experience with production LLM systems, AI agents, workflow automation, cloud architecture, MarTech, SEO tech or data-intensive platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business challenges into clear, scalable software architecture
• Design, build and improve backend services and core NOVA functionality
• Develop AI-native workflows, LLM integrations, API connections and automations
• Make architectural decisions around reliability, performance, security, and scalability
• Identify dependencies, edge cases and future risks early
• Leverage AI tools like Claude Code or Codex in daily work
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for security and production-readiness
• Improve testing, observability, CI/CD and release quality
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to turn ideas into working solutions
• Mentor peers via code reviews and technical discussions
• Own critical platform components from problem definition to optimization
• Establish AI evaluation frameworks and LLM-as-a-judge pipelines
• Design guardrails and fallback mechanisms for deterministic reliability
