Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Token Factory) based in the Netherlands to join an AI-focused R&D team building infrastructure for next-generation LLMs. You will design and develop large-scale platforms that support LLM training and demanding AI workloads.

You will tackle complex distributed-systems challenges, including intelligent job scheduling and resource optimization, with an ownership mindset in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python and/or Go programming skills.
• Solid CI/CD, version control, automated testing and unit testing practices.
• Experience building and operating web services and backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability and reliability.
• Proven ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in fast-paced or startup-like environments is valued.
• Experience with language models, NLP, or AI is a plus.
• Track record delivering products from concept to production.
• Open-source projects or other technical work are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve platforms for large-scale LLM training and AI workloads.
• Build robust distributed systems for demanding computational needs.
• Maintain ML infrastructure for high performance, scalability, reliability.
• Improve job scheduling to maximize resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting AI workloads.
• Apply robust software engineering practices across lifecycle.
• Identify and solve performance and reliability challenges.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate AI requirements into production systems.
• Own technical decisions with rigor across design, development, testing, and ops.
