Sytac is looking for a Senior AI / Front-End Engineer to join our team on an exciting project for our client in the finance and banking sector, building the next generation of their AI-driven public web experience. We are looking for an engineer with modern engineering skills, passionate about innovation, creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Please note that this role is only open to candidates currently residing in the Netherlands with existing valid work authorization; relocation and visa sponsorship are not provided.

The team

You will join a brand-new, high-impact squad responsible for launching an AI web experimentation initiative for our client. Our focus is on generating, testing, and optimizing dynamic web features for the public domain—initially across the Netherlands and Belgium, with plans to expand across Europe. Working alongside business and AI specialists, our goal is to leverage AI tooling and a custom Agentic DevOps platform to deliver high-performing, brand-aligned web components.

Roles and responsibilities

Technical & Operational Execution

• Prompt Engineering & Agentic Workflows: Set up custom skills, system instructions, and tailored prompts for GitHub Copilot and an internal Agentic DevOps platform to automate quality code generation.
• Experimentation & Delivery: Drive experimentation excellence by designing, launching, and tracking A/B tests and conversion optimization loops to validate feature performance before scaling winning solutions across markets.
• Mentorship & Mastery: Support fellow squad members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to help build a cohesive, well-rounded engineering team.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with international architects, business stakeholders, and UX teams to roll out core AI experiments and contribute to a realistic squad roadmap.
• Knowledge Sharing: Transfer expertise in AI coding tooling, prompt crafting, and modern Web Components architecture to Sytac and the client through presentations, documentation, and setting high engineering standards in an Agile environment.

How to succeed

• AI & DevOps Tooling: Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, agentic automation, and setting up custom instructions/skills for AI assistants.
• Experimentation & Mindset: Experience or strong affinity with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and a "you build it, you own it" ownership mindset toward web quality and accessibility.
• Collaboration & Impact: A curious, Agile-minded team player with excellent communication skills who thrives on explaining technical concepts and collaborating with global stakeholders.
• Location & Eligibility: Currently residing in the Netherlands with valid right-to-work documentation (no relocation or visa sponsorship provided).
