Job summary

ABN AMRO Verzekeringen is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and improve AI solutions that are reliable and production-ready. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to translate complex problems into scalable AI applications.

The role focuses on generative AI, document intelligence and decision-support, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD, testing, secure development, and reusable platform components in a hybrid work setting across the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, AI, data science or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in AI engineering, software engineering, ML engineering or a related role.
• Familiar with version control, cloud tooling, CI/CD, automated testing and release pipelines, applying software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Translate business, user or organisational needs into practical AI solutions with a clear technical design and success criteria.
• Design, develop and maintain AI applications, APIs, services and reusable components using Python and cloud services.
• Work on generative AI, LLM-based, RAG, document intelligence, agentic or decision-support solutions.
• Bring AI solutions from prototype to production-ready setups with CI/CD, testing, deployment pipelines, monitoring and secure practices.
• Contribute to reusable standards, templates, components or platform capabilities for consistent AI delivery.
• Stay up to date with AI engineering developments and assess applicable techniques for NN.
