Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help build and improve intelligent applications at a large financial organisation in the Netherlands. You will combine strong software engineering with practical AI experience to deliver solutions that integrate with existing platforms.

You'll develop Python-based software, deploy AI capabilities, work with data sources and cloud services, and collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to implement scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

You will combine strong software engineering skills with practical experience in AI, working on solutions that can be integrated into existing applications and platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve software applications using Python
• Build and integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into applications
• Work with LLMs and Generative AI where relevant

• Integrate AI models and services with existing platforms and data sources
• Work with data engineers, software engineers and business stakeholders

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering or a related field
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience building and integrating software applications and APIs
• Practical experience with AI, machine learning or Generative AI
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and development practices
• Experience working with data and integrating different data sources
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary Agile teams

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, Azure OpenAI or similar platforms
• Experience with RAG, embeddings or vector databases
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Experience with Databricks or Spark
