Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mission-critical systems with large code bases.
• 3+ years backend development in ADA, Java, or C++.
• 5+ years Linux environment experience.
• 3+ years Scrum/Kanban with Jira/Bitbucket using Bitbucket.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering or 6 years backend development experience.
• English language proficiency.

Are you a Senior ADA Developer with 5+ years of experience in mission-critical systems?

For a long-term contract opportunity with a leading air traffic management client in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on mission-critical systems with large code bases (>100 KLoC)
• 3+ years of backend development experience in ADA, Java, or C++
• 5+ years of experience in a Linux environment
• 3+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban methodologies using Jira and BitBucket (or equivalent)
• Able to provide a certificate of good conduct (issued within the last 6 months, in English, Dutch, or German) before deployment
• Willing and able to work full-time on-site at MUAC, Maastricht, Netherlands
• Available from contract start (target 01 November 2026)
• Must not be a former EUROCONTROL staff member receiving a EUROCONTROL pension or allowance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering — OR 6 years' total backend development experience (ADA/Java/C++)
• (Desirable) 3+ years of experience specifically as an ADA developer
• (Desirable) 2+ years of experience in the Air Traffic Management (ATM) domain
• (Desirable) Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• (Desirable) 3+ years of experience writing high-quality technical documentation
• (Desirable) Demonstrated team-working skills with reference
