Job summary

JBT Marel seeks a Senior Accountant in Eindhoven to lead financial reporting for local entities and support group and statutory audits. The role combines hands-on accounting with process improvements and close collaboration with Financial Control, Business Control and Shared Services.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local regulations, while communicating clearly in English and driving efficiency across finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar role or auditing.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial data.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX a plus).
• Knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close per US GAAP and Marel guidelines.
• Prepare local financial statements and tax reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, intercompany).
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and local regulations.
• Support process improvements and reporting quality.
• Manage audits (group and statutory).
