Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant to support customers and maintain a fast, friendly checkout experience. You’ll assist shoppers at the self-checkout area, explain interventions calmly, and help resolve cash or technical issues with the Customer Service Manager.

Responsibilities include keeping the self-checkout area clean and organized, promoting store programs, and handling EAS alerts and Scan & Go equipment, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards by keeping area clean, safe, and organized.
• Promote Walmart programs and initiatives including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives when applicable.
• Support customers at self checkout by assisting, monitoring activity, and resolving cash or technical issues with the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS alerts and complete the Failure to Deactivate log accurately.
• Manage Scan & Go equipment by returning scanners to designated storage after use.
