Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands is seeking a Security Domain Architect to design and operationalize secure, compliant IT architectures that enable business innovation while reducing risk. You will lead security architecture reviews during project delivery and provide guidance on cloud and security initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in security/IT architecture, a relevant degree, and security certifications such as TOGAF, CISM, CISSP or CCSK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security architecture or extended IT architecture role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, CISM, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, AWS/Azure security.

Responsibilities

• Perform security architecture reviews during project delivery and security solution review initiatives.
• Conduct threat-led architecture assessments and provide cloud/security guidance to teams.
• Design end-to-end security solutions balancing risk, compliance and efficiency.
• Assess third-party architectures for compliance and remediation guidance.
• Present assessments and security posture to stakeholders; represent security in governance bodies.
• Collaborate with IT, security and business units to embed security into BAU.
• Optimize cost-effectiveness of security controls and decisions.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to build capability.

Job description

You are responsible for designing and operationalizing secure, compliant IT architectures that enable business innovation while reducing risk. As a Security Domain Architect at Deloitte.

• Perform security architecture reviews during project delivery and security solution review initiatives, translating security requirements into implementable technical designs
• Conduct threat‑led architecture assessments and provide clear cloud/security guidance to technical teams and stakeholders.
• Design end‑to‑end security solutions that balance risk reduction, compliance and operational efficiency, including cloud, infrastructure hardening and application security patterns.
• Assess third‑party and service‑provider architectures for compliance with security standards and advise on remediation.
• Present architecture assessments, security posture and recommendations to technical, risk and business stakeholders; represent security architecture in governance bodies as needed.
• Collaborate with IT, security and business units to embed security into BAU and support cross‑functional technical projects and IT architecture requests.
• Optimise cost‑effectiveness of security controls and architecture decisions.
• Enable capability building through hands‑on knowledge transfer, mentoring and technical acumen.

You communicate complex security and architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You think at technical tactical level while remaining pragmatic about implementation constraints. You are naturally curious about emerging threats and security technologies. Furthermore, as a Security Domain Architect, you have:

• 5+ years in security architecture or extended IT architecture role
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant certifications demonstrating architecture and security expertise, such as:

1. TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
2. CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CRISC
3. AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure Solutions Architect
4. Cloud Security Alliance CCSK or equivalent

For this position, candidates must be an EU resident or live in The Netherlands, since we do not offer relocation budget and/or visa support.
