Job summary

Accenture the Netherlands is seeking a Security Consultant to join the CMT Security industry group and drive security initiatives for clients in Communications, Media, Software & Platform and Technology sectors.

You will blend security, business, and commercial acumen, work with delivery teams, and help expand opportunities while bridging client and account teams. Fluency in English is required, Dutch is highly preferred, and there is in-person collaboration with clients in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• A Security or technology-oriented degree, either managerial or technical in nature (preferred).
• 3–5 years of work experience in Cyber Security
• Work experience within large organizations.
• Proven experience in consultancy projects.
• Interest in gaining commercial experience, with the ability to integrate security expertise into business strategies.

Responsibilities

• You will operate within the Accenture Security team in the CMT Security industry group to support security transformations for clients.
• You will help define, implement, and run tailored security solutions while ensuring secure business and IT operations.

Job description

As a Security Consultant in the CMT Security industry group, you will be responsible for overseeing security-related activities at one of our clients in one of the following sectors: Communications, Media, Software & Platform and Technology.

You will bring together security, business, and commercial expertise to help clients address their complex security challenges. Specifically, we are looking for candidates with broad experience in one or multiple Security domains, combined with the ambition to develop themselves on the commercial side as well. In this role, you will work with delivery teams to ensure existing projects are operating as expected, while also building relationships and developing new opportunities with clients. You will act as a bridge between the client, the client account team, and our group of experts in the security domain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• People: As part of the Accenture Security team, you will operate within the CMT Security industry group, one of the five industry groups in the Netherlands. Clients are undergoing (security) transformations that change their business and way of working, and a strong understanding of these industries is essential.
• Processes: You will leverage your industry-specific knowledge to help clients define, implement, and run tailored security solutions, ensuring secure business and IT operations.
• Technology: You will have the opportunity to develop expertise in a wide range of innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies across all Security offerings.
• Data: Operating in a data-driven environment, you will utilize insights to deliver projects and identify new opportunities for clients.

Here’s what you’ll need

• A Security or technology‑oriented degree, either managerial or technical in nature (preferred).
• 3–5 years of work experience in Cyber Security
• Work experience within large organizations.
• Proven experience in consultancy projects.
• Interest in gaining commercial experience, with the ability to integrate security expertise into business strategies.

Bonus points if you are

• A team player with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
• Fluent in English (required); fluency in Dutch is highly preferred.
