Job summary

X17 Group is seeking a Seasoned Process Engineer to design, optimize and troubleshoot oil refinery process systems. The role requires hands-on engineering expertise, a strong practical mindset, and collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.

You will develop process designs and simulations, monitor performance, implement control strategies, and contribute to safety, efficiency, and quality improvements. This on-site, full-time position is based in Gouda, Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering with industrial process experience.
• Experience in process design, flowsheets, equipment specifications and simulations.
• Knowledge of process control, instrumentation and optimization of operating parameters.
• Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and problem solving.
• Experience in on-site industrial facilities, preferably chemical or petrochemical.
• Familiarity with safety standards and process safety practices.
• Strong communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

The position is a full-time role that requires a strong practical mindset and the ability to work closely with operations and maintenance personnel.
