Job summary

Holland Civic Center is seeking positive Team Members to provide excellent customer service at the bar and beverage service for events. The position includes beverage preparation, order taking, bar operations, and following safety procedures for patrons and staff. Nights and weekends are required according to the event schedule.

Certification in TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol or Alcohol Seller-Server is required before start date. Must be 17 years of age and able to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment either solo or with others.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Prior bartending and beverage experience preferred.
• Must be available on weekends and nights as well as some weekdays.
• Must be TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or Alcohol Seller-Server certified. Certification must be current and is required to have prior to a start date
• Must be 17 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately prepare and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages.
• Interacting with customers, taking drink orders, and serving drinks.
• Operate a cash register and balance a cash drawer.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Ensure bar areas are clean and well presented.
• Any additional tasks assigned by management
