Job summary

ROHLIG FRANCE S.A.S Netherlands is seeking a Sea Freight Operator Import for Rotterdam to coordinate import shipments from pre-alert through customs clearance to final delivery.

You will communicate with customers, overseas agents and partners to keep shipments on track, arrange customs clearance, and handle discrepancies with a proactive, customer-focused approach. A collaborative, proactive working style and strong Dutch/English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of sea freight import operations and relevant shipping documentation.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a customer-oriented approach.
• Confidence working with operational systems and Microsoft Office; freight forwarding system experience is valuable.
• A collaborative and proactive working style, with good Dutch and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming sea freight shipments, register shipment data and monitor cargo movements and arrival updates.
• Communicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, brokers and other partners to resolve delays and keep shipments on track.
• Arrange or coordinate customs clearance, documentation, cargo release and onward delivery in line with applicable requirements.
• Handle shipment discrepancies, claims, invoicing and cost processing accurately and on time.
• Follow operational, safety and quality procedures while looking for opportunities to improve efficiency.
