Job summary

Stage Entertainment is seeking a proactive Scrum Master to drive agile excellence and organisational change across our international IT landscape. You will empower teams, coach Product Owners, and guide adoption of new ways of working as we accelerate our digital transformation from Amsterdam.

In this highly visible role, you will align priorities across multiple teams, track KPIs, and lead change activities while fostering collaboration across countries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Change Manager, Project Manager, or in a comparable role.
  • Proven experience facilitating agile teams and driving organisational change initiatives.
  • Experience operating in international and complex stakeholder environments is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile frameworks, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Solid understanding of change management methodologies and adoption strategies.
  • Sufficient business and technical understanding to assess feasibility, risks, and organisational impact.
  • Ability to establish meaningful performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and delivery governance.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences and levels within the organisation.
  • Empathic, organisationally sensitive, and capable of building trust across teams and functions.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to create alignment, transparency, and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support teams in applying agile principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Coach and mentor teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to continuously improve agile ways of working.
  • Identify and remove impediments that impact team effectiveness and delivery.
  • Promote collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Align priorities, dependencies, and backlogs across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate change management activities for IT-driven initiatives and transformation programmes.
  • Assess change impacts and develop effective adoption and communication strategies.
  • Support stakeholders in navigating organisational change and increasing change readiness.
  • Design and deliver training, workshops, and awareness programmes related to agile working and change management.
  • Act as an ambassador for continuous improvement and organisational learning.
  • Manage and coordinate designated projects, ensuring successful delivery against objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Define and track KPIs and metrics to measure agile maturity, team performance, and change effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on opportunities to improve ways of working and organisational effectiveness.
  • Support the continuous development of governance, processes, and best practices within Global IT.

Stage Entertainment is a leading global theater production company producing musical across Europe, with 16 theaters in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy, plus offices in the UK. We bring some of the world’s best-known musical to the stage, developed by international partners and their creative teams, including Disney's The Lion King, MJ the Musical, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

We also create our own original productions, such as Anastasia and TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, sharing them worldwide through tours and licensing. We also have our own in-house ticketing system, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Here is where your challenge starts:

As Scrum Master, you play a pivotal role in driving both agile excellence and organisational change across Stage Entertainment. You empower teams to perform at their best, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure successful adoption of new ways of working, processes, and technologies.

Working closely with Product Owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders, you facilitate agile delivery, remove obstacles, and guide teams through change. As Stage Entertainment continues its digital transformation journey, you will be instrumental in increasing agile maturity, strengthening collaboration, and embedding change capabilities throughout the organisation.

Specific responsibilities:

Nice to have

  • Srum Master certification (PSM, CSM or equivalent).
  • Prosci or other recognised Change Management certification.
  • Experience with scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe.
