Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden, NL, is seeking a Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems to lead the data systems program within CGT's Analytical Development. You will drive validated systems, ensure data integrity, and coordinate with global partners to accelerate labs-to-clinic workflows.

The role focuses on digitalization, data automation, and cross-functional collaboration to improve data availability and traceability, while supporting GMP compliance and audits.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Biomedical Science or Data Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in data systems in a laboratory environment.
• Detail oriented with a quality mindset.
• Experienced people manager (5–10 years preferred).
• Fluent in English; Dutch a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Global implementation of validated data systems to increase data availability and traceability.
• Lead the Leiden-based Data Systems team (1 Team Lead + 3 members; potential expansion).
• Manage Local equipment team (2 direct reports + external LCM supplier).
• Ensure data integrity via robust systems and workflows.
• Achieve global alignment with stakeholders and management.
• Perform master data configuration through the team.
• Maintain data systems in GMP-compliant way and support audits.
• Implement automated data capture from analytical equipment.
