Job summary

Google Inc. in the Netherlands (Eemshaven) is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer I, Scaled Solutions to help drive operational excellence across Google Cloud data centers. You will diagnose blockers, design tools, and develop playbooks to empower teams worldwide.

The role requires strong technical depth across web, data, systems, and cloud concepts, plus collaboration with Server Operations, Engineering, and cross-functional partners. Growth and impact are central to this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with two or more of the following: Web Technology, Data or Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, and SAP.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process).
• Experience owning a full life-cycle of technical projects including design, development, maintenance, and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers and stakeholder concerns to achieve swift resolution.
• Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks to streamline the issue management life-cycle.
• Create standardized technical playbooks and processes that enable the Google Server Operations team to manage and resolve issues autonomously.
• Partner with Engineering and Server Operations stakeholders to investigate, identify, and fix the fundamental root causes of negative business outcomes.
• Manage project schedules and timelines while fostering engagement with various cross-functional partners and providing essential business support by participating in weekend on-call duties or assigned work shift rotations.
