Job summary

European Space Agency is seeking a Ground Segment Product Engineer for ESTEC in the Netherlands or ECSAT in the United Kingdom. This fixed-term appointment lasts four years with potential extension.

You will manage ground and user segment product development, coordinate industry roadmaps, assess business cases, and support strategic ESA initiatives. The role requires a master’s degree (or bachelor’s with four years of experience) and expertise in satellite ground systems, with strong negotiation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant domain and 4 years of professional experience.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with an additional four years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in ground segment technology and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage development activities for ground and user segment products.
• Assess business cases and market assumptions for satellite ground products.
• Coordinate industry roadmaps and stakeholder collaboration.
• Support strategic initiatives and socioeconomic impact analysis.
• Ensure alignment with ESA procurement, verification and related processes.
