Job summary

Telespazio BeNeLux is seeking an experienced SAR performance and ELINT engineer to work at ESTEC in the Netherlands. You will design, analyze and evaluate RF payload systems for defence, aerospace and remote sensing with emphasis on SAR and ELINT techniques.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Telecommunications/Electronics or RF/Microwave Engineering and hands-on experience with radar signal processing, FPGA/ASIC architectures, and space hardware development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or RF/Microwave Engineering.
• Strong background in electromagnetic theory, radar signal propagation, Fourier analysis, and SAR/ELINT principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and consultancy to ESA projects in RF payloads across project phases.
• Contribute to architectural definition and verification of future RF/millimetre-wave instruments/payloads.
• Define technological requirements for microwave and millimetre-wave payloads with ESA specialists.
• Participate in feasibility studies, project reviews, and procurement evaluations.
• Identify development problems and assist in their resolution.
• Define technology development requirements and work plans for RF/microwave instruments.
• Lead R&D activities for long- and short-term needs.
• Foster new application areas and innovative concepts in system architectures.
• Perform laboratory activities as required.
