Job summary

Us3 Consulting in Amsterdam seeks an experienced SAP BW Developer to drive end-to-end BW/BO dataflows and BI solutions. You will design data models, implement processes, and ensure production stability across BW on HANA and BW/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of SAP BW experience, strong ABAP, and hands-on work with LSA, DTPs, InfoSources, Transformations and WebI/AfO reporting. Collaboration with multiple SAP modules is essential.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Developer with strong expertise in SAP BW/BW on HANA and BW/4HANA. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience across BW development, LSA architecture, process chains, SAP data sources, ABAP routines, BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, and Analysis for Office.

The candidate should be comfortable working end-to-end, from understanding customer requirements and designing dataflows through development, testing, deployment, production monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP BW fundamentals and BW Workbench.
• Strong knowledge of LSA (Layered Scalable Architecture) and BW architecture principles.
• Experience with process chains, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with multiple SAP modules and data sources.
• Strong SAP Finance (FI/CO) data-source experience is mandatory.
• Good hands-on ABAP knowledge.
• Experience developing and maintaining BW dataflows using:
• Start routines
• End routines
• Field routines
• InfoSources
• Transformations
• DTPs
• Experience enhancing data sources in SAP source systems.
• Working knowledge of Analysis Process Designer (APD) in SAP BW.
• Strong SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI) experience, including creating reports from scratch and using available reporting functions.
• Expert-level knowledge of Analysis for Office (AfO).
• Ability to translate customer/business requirements into appropriate BW/BO dataflows and technical solutions.
• Experience working on larger projects through the complete lifecycle:
• Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in identifying and resolving BW process bottlenecks.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• SAP BW authorizations knowledge.
• Understanding of SAP BusinessObjects CMC and its core building blocks.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• AZ-900 certification is desirable/expected.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Strong performance tuning and BW process optimization experience.
