Job summary

ITproposal B.V. in Amsterdam seeks an experienced Senior SAP BW / BW4HANA Developer to design, develop and maintain SAP BW data flows and reporting solutions.

You will work with ABAP, LS A architecture, and BI reporting tools (WebI, Analysis for Office) across end-to-end processes and collaborate with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing data flows, managing process chains, and ensuring performance across SAP Finance sources, with strong emphasis on APD and BW best practices.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of SAP BW development experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BW / BW4HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP BW Workbench.
• Solid knowledge of LSA architecture and BW data modelling principles.
• Experience with BW process chains, scheduling and monitoring.
• Experience working with SAP Finance data sources.
• Strong ABAP knowledge in an SAP BW context.
• Hands-on experience with Start routines, End routines, Field routines, InfoSources, DataSource enhancements.
• Debugging in SAP source systems and BW processes.
• More than basic knowledge of APD.
• Strong BusinessObjects WebI experience, including creating reports from scratch.
• Expert-level Analysis for Office knowledge.
• Proven experience delivering larger projects end-to-end.
• Ability to translate customer/business requirements into BW/BusinessObjects solutions.
• Strong understanding of BW development standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve BW bottlenecks and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SAP BW/BW4HANA data flows and reporting solutions.
• Work with the SAP BW Workbench and apply standard BW development principles.
• Design and maintain solutions based on LSA architecture principles.
• Develop and monitor process chains and resolve BW process issues and bottlenecks.
• Work with data sources from multiple SAP modules, especially SAP Finance.
• Develop BW data flows using ABAP: Start routines, End routines, Field routines, InfoSources, DataSource enhancements.
• Debug SAP source systems and BW processes to resolve data issues.
• Work with APD.
• Develop WebI reports from scratch and use reporting functions.
• Develop and maintain Analysis for Office at advanced/expert level.
• Translate business requirements into BW/BusinessObjects data flows.
• Participate in end-to-end projects from development to production monitoring.
• Troubleshoot BW performance issues and bottlenecks.
