Job summary

ICON Clinical Research is seeking a dedicated Sample Management Coordinator for our Assen laboratory. You will manage sample intake and registration, ensuring timely start of analyses and accurate documentation. The role emphasizes careful, service-oriented work within a small team.

Qualifications

• Minimum MBO level 3 or 4 in a relevant field (e.g., lab technology, logistics or administrative).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Fluent in Dutch; good communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Operates the Sample Registration Office: handling sample intake, issuing and related administrative tasks.
• Maintains and monitors freezers and storage equipment.
• Ensures proper sample reception, verification and system registration.
• Support department: goods receipt, administrative processing, and inventory related duties.

In opdracht van farmaceutische bedrijven doet ICON wereldwijd wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar de werking van geneesmiddelen bij mensen. In Noord-Nederland heeft ICON lokaties waar zowel klinisch als bioanalytisch onderzoek wordt verricht. Werken bij ICON betekent dat je werkt aan de ontwikkeling van de geneesmiddelen van de toekomst. Voor de afdeling Sample Registration van ons laboratorium in Assen zijn wij op zoek naar een enthousiaste nieuwe collega.

Als Medewerker Sample Registration sta je aan het begin van het process van analyses binnen ons laboratorium. Een ontzettend belangrijke functie dus!

In deze functie staat zorgvuldig en servicegericht werken voorop. Samen met je team zorg je dat alle samples en goederen worden uitgepakt en geregistreerd in de systemen, zodat analisten tijdig met de analyses kunnen starten.

Het bioanalytisch laboratorium van ICON is gevestigd in Assen. Hier worden met behulp van verschillende technieken analyses uitgevoerd van geneesmiddelen in samples afkomstig van projecten vanuit de hele wereld.

Wat ga je doen?

Je bent werkzaam op het Sample Registration Office waar de samples en goederen binnenkomen, daarbij horen de volgende werkzaamheden:

Hoofdtaken:

• Verzorgen sample uitgifte / inname en de bij bijhorende administratieve handelingen
• Beheer en onderhoud aan vriezers
• Zorgdragen voor sampleontvangst, controle en de administratieve registratie

Neven taken van de afdeling:

• Goederenontvangst en de administratieve afhandeling
• Beheer chemicaliën voorraad en magazijn
• Referentiestoffen beheer en uitgifte
• Afhandelen van bestellingen

Wat breng jij mee?

• Een afgeronde opleiding op minimaal MBO niveau 3 of niveau 4, bijvoorbeeld een voltooide opleiding MLO/laboratoriumtechniek, Logistiek of Administratief
• Je bent 32-40 uur beschikbaar
• Je kan zelfstandig en in een team werken
• Je hebt een flexibele instelling en bent communicatief vaardig in het nederlands
• Vaardigheid met Microsoft Office, vooral Outlook, Excel en Access.
