Job summary

AFS Energy seeks an ambitious Sales Trader to grow its EU ETS client base on a fast-paced trading floor in Amsterdam. You will source new corporate clients, onboard them to the Viridian platform, and drive market transactions while cross-selling our environmental portfolio.

You will thrive on targets, participate in industry events, and build long-term B2B partnerships within a dynamic, international team. Training and a performance-based bonus are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of commercial track record (e.g., B2B Sales, Brokering, or Business Development).
• Full professional fluency in Spanish and English (essential for daily operations).

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard corporate clients subject to EU ETS compliance through direct outreach and meetings.
• Guide new accounts onto the Viridian execution platform, build active order flow, and execute market transactions.
• Expand account value by cross-selling products from AFS Energy's portfolio.
• Monitor EU ETS regulatory updates, price trends, and CRM activity.

AFS Energy is expanding its Carbon Compliance desk and looking for an ambitious Sales Trader to develop and strengthen our client base within the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) sector. In this role, you will be the driving force behind your own business growth, building long-term B2B partnerships from the ground up. Core Responsibilities

• Business Development & Acquisition: Identify and onboard corporate clients subject to EU ETS compliance using direct phone outreach, face-to-face meetings, and networking at key industry events.
• Onboarding & Trade Execution: Guide new accounts onto our execution platform (Viridian), build active order flow, and execute market transactions.
• Cross-Selling: Expand existing account value by introducing complementary products from AFS Energy's broader environmental portfolio.
• Market Insights & Pipeline Tracking: Monitor EU ETS regulatory updates, price trends, and competitive developments while maintaining structured CRM activity.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0–3 years of commercial track record (e.g., B2B Sales, Brokering, or Business Development). Prior experience with cold outreach and direct sales is a strong advantage.
• Languages: Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English (essential for daily operations).
• Mindset: Highly resilient, energetic, and self-motivated with a strong drive to close deals and hit targets.
