Job summary

Conscious Hotels in Amsterdam is offering a Sales Internship to support our Commerce team, learn end-to-end sales processes, and build client relationships while collaborating with Revenue, Marketing, and Reservations.

You are an HBO student in Business, Marketing, Sales or Communications, available 32–40 hours per week for at least 20 weeks starting January (Feb or March possible). Dutch fluency and good English are required; no prior sales experience needed.

Qualifications

• A HBO-student studying Business, Marketing, Sales, Communication, or related field.
• Available for 32–40 hours per week for a minimum of 20 weeks starting January (Feb or March possible).
• Fluent in Dutch and confident communicating in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sales team with lead generation and prospecting, focusing on Corporate Individual and Group Business.
• Conduct market research and track trends informing sales strategy.
• Assist in preparing sales materials and presentations for internal and client use.
• Update and maintain CRM records and sales documents with accurate data.
• Participate in team meetings to observe and learn effective sales techniques.
• Support sales activities, site visits and commercial projects.
• Provide administrative support to keep the sales cycle flowing.

As a Sales Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting our sales processes, help build client relationships, and learn the ins & outs of professional sales, from research to outreach and follow-up deal. You’ll be fully involved in our Commerce team, working closely with Sales and collaborating with other departments such as Revenue, Marketing, Meetings & Events, and Reservations. This will give you a realistic and valuable insight into how commercial decisions are made within a growing hospitality organization. This internship isn’t just coffee runs; you’ll gain real skills that matter.

In this role you will:

You are:

• A HBO-student studying Business, Marketing, Sales, Communication, or related field;
• You are looking for an internship for a minimum of 20 weeks, preferably starting in January (but February or March is also possible);
• Available for 32-40 hours per week;
• Passionate about people, results, and learning the ropes of professional sales;
• A good communicator, both verbally and in writing;
• Motivated, proactive, and ready to contribute to the team;
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to learn CRM tools;
• Fluent in Dutch is required, and you are confident in communicating in English, both spoken and written;
• No prior sales experience required, just a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn!

• Generous internship allowance: €800–950 per month (based on full-time and depending on the duration of your internship);
