Zusammenfassung

FORTNA is seeking a Sales Engineer in a hybrid role based in the Netherlands. You will engage with international clients, translate operational challenges into practical, value‑driven material handling solutions, and lead the technical scope and cost basis for compelling bids.

In this role you will collaborate with Sales Managers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver feasible, cost‑effective projects and manage multiple tender streams from inception to submission.

Qualifikationen

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field is required.
• Min. 3 years experience in material handling, intralogistics or similar.
• Strong analytical ability and the capacity to translate client needs into practical concepts.
• Experience with client specifications, layouts and technical solutions.
• A consultative approach and confidence in client conversations.

Aufgaben

• Engage with clients to understand their needs, operation challenges and decision criteria.
• Translate client needs into clear functional requirements, solutions concepts and layouts.
• Design custom material handling solutions balancing value, feasibility, cost and risk.
• Calculate costs and prepare technical tender documentation for multi‑million euro projects.
• Lead the technical and cost-pricing workflow within multiple tender processes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure quality, pricing and progress.
• Present and explain solution concepts to technical and operational stakeholders.
