Job description

A leading manufacturer of polypropylene compounds is currently recruiting a Sales Development Manager to work in their sales team in their Geleen (near Maastricht) office. Remote work from Germany might be available depending on your experience.

In this role you will be responsible for the business development, sales and relationship management of the clients (mainly car manufacturers or Tier 1 suppliers).

The role will suit someone who has experience in sales activities in automotive plastic industries.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday
SALARY: €90k-€140K (including 8% holiday pay and bonus) depending on experience
LOCATION: Geleen (near Maastricht)

Sales Development Manager Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth in the automotive plastics markets
  2. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  4. Provide technical and commercial support for product offerings, mainly polypropylene compounds and injection moulding solutions
  5. Monitor market trends and competitive activities to inform business strategies
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to align efforts with customer needs
  7. Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management
Sales Development Manager Ideal Candidate:
  1. Minimum of three years’ experience in sales or business development within the automotive plastic industries
  2. Extensive business experience with OEMs and major Tier suppliers is essential
  3. Strong knowledge of polypropylene, plastic compounds, and injection moulding processes is beneficial
  4. Fluent English is necessary, German language ability is beneficial
  5. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
