Job summary

Afura Store in Amsterdam city centre is seeking a Sales Assistant to welcome customers, drive sales and provide product knowledge. You have 2+ years of retail experience and a warm, confident attitude.

This part-time role offers 16-24 hours per week, immediate start, flexible scheduling across weekdays and weekends, basic Excel/Sheets skills, and opportunities to grow in a small, passionate team; pension plan included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience required.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills required.
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking initiative.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by delivering a welcoming shopping experience.
• Develop product knowledge to advise customers effectively.
• Provide after-sales service, handling returns and inquiries.
• Support day-to-day store operations: stock handling and merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented store environment.
• Process online orders, fulfillment and customer requests.
• Assist in-store events and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by creating a positive, knowledgeable and welcoming shopping experience.
• Develop strong product knowledge to advise customers effectively.
• Provide excellent after-sales service, including handling returns, complaints and customer enquiries.
• Support day-to-day store operations, including stock handling, inventory control and visual merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented store environment.
• Process online orders, including fulfilment and customer requests.
• Support in-store events and promotional activities.

You Are

• 2+ years of retail experience required
• Available for flexible scheduling across weekdays and weekends
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking initiative
• Confident and approachable with customers
• Genuinely interested in fashion, design and the brands we carry
• Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills required
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Experience with Shopify or retail POS systems is a plus
• Room for growth in a small, passionate team
