Job summary

RubyDeveloper.nl in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join a fast-paced engineering team within a global high-tech manufacturing organisation. You will design and maintain scalable web applications supporting critical internal processes.

The role requires 4+ years of Rails experience, strong MVC and RESTful design skills, and familiarity with PostgreSQL/MySQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and CI/CD practices. Hybrid onsite days apply in Veldhoven.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful design, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS; React or similar a plus).
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing (RSpec), and CI/CD tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
