Job summary

Lloyds Bank GmbH in Amsterdam seeks a Risk Control & Oversight Officer for Corporate Lending to deliver second-line oversight and improve transparency through analytics and automation.

You will monitor policy adherence, track remediation, and collaborate with risk, front office, finance, IT, and compliance to strengthen governance and reporting. English fluency is required; Dutch or German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in risk management, controls, audit, governance, data, transformation, or a related banking function.
• Experience supporting controls, action tracking, committee materials, service reviews, oversight reports, or risk documentation.
• Experience using data analytics, reporting, workflow automation, or low-code tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Python, SQL, Databricks, Alteryx).
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities, with interest in the responsible use of AI within financial services.
• Interest in developing deeper knowledge of corporate lending and credit risk, with the potential to broaden into other financial risk topics over time.
• Experience in an ECB-supervised banking environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to engage constructively with first line, second line, Group, Finance, IT, Data, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide second‑line oversight across the lending lifecycle, monitoring policy adherence and control performance.
• Collaborate with Corporate Lending Risk, front office, Group Risk, Finance, Data, IT, Treasury, Compliance, and other control functions.
• Develop oversight dashboards, evidence, and reporting; document findings and drive remediation.
• Support the introduction of new lending products with control inventories, oversight reporting, and data quality checks.
