We ARE Renewables is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer for one of our clients in the energy sector in the Netherlands
Within the SRC department, you will work closely with professionals focused on Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, and Reporting. Together, you contribute to maintaining and improving the security and resilience of the clients critical infrastructure while supporting the organization's strategic objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Designing and maintaining the target architecture for the Cyber Defense Center.
- Maintaining and continuously improving the team's Key Results framework in oBoard, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Monitoring progress, risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and compliance initiatives while providing transparency and actionable insights.
- Creating, coordinating, and tracking improvement plans, remediation actions, and compliance-related initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement by facilitating corrective and preventive actions and monitoring successful implementation.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports related to Security, Risk & Compliance performance.
- Translating business requirements into meaningful KPIs, Key Results, management reports, and performance indicators.
- Delivering executive and operational reporting on compliance status, risk trends, audit findings, security metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, governance, and adherence to reporting and visualization best practices.
- Developing and maintaining data models, reporting frameworks, technical documentation, and data definitions.
- Supporting management with insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Key Requirements
- minimale 6 years of relevant experience in Security, Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, Business Intelligence, Performance Management, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience with Power BI, oBoard, KPI frameworks, reporting methodologies, and data modelling.
- A completed HBO or WO degree in Information Technology, Information Security, General Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience within IT and Information Security Risk Management environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience with compliance monitoring, governance processes, risk reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A structured, proactive, and results-oriented working style.
- Fluent English language skills. Dutch is considered a strong advantage.
