Job summary

ENTER is seeking a Research Engineer Vehicle Control to advance AI-based environmental perception, world modelling and vehicle control. You will bridge research and practical automotive applications, delivering robust real-time prototypes.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, develop algorithms for multi-sensor fusion, localization and road modelling, and validate results in simulation and on real vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field (mech/robotics/ automotive).
  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems or automotive research.
  • Strong knowledge of AI-based perception, world modelling and state estimation.
  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion and state estimation techniques.
  • Programming experience in C++ and/or Python; MATLAB and ROS valued.
  • Ability to translate research concepts into robust implementations.
  • Interest in safe-by-design principles and systems engineering.
  • Writing and presentation skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI-based environmental perception and world modelling for vehicles.
  • Design, implement and evaluate advanced algorithms for multi-sensor fusion, localization, and road modelling.
  • Progress concepts from proof-of-concept to real-time prototypes for testing in vehicles.
  • Plan and conduct experiments in simulation and on real vehicles.
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers and external partners.
  • Share results via reports, presentations, and publications.
