Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer in the Netherlands to strengthen security across ClickHouse Cloud and OSS. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement threat modeling, secure implementations, and automation at scale.

You will drive security tooling adoption, triage vulnerabilities, and contribute to incident response while partnering with a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing security for distributed systems including web/API/client-server assets.
• Strong knowledge of cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing and operating security tooling (static/dynamic analysis, SBOM, code licensing).
• Significant development and automation experience; ability to work with C++ code.
• Security as code mindset with a focus on automation and scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering on threat modeling, assurance, and secure implementation.
• Identify security gaps and triage vulnerabilities across ClickHouse Cloud and OSS.
• Improve security assurance activities: pentests, vulnerability assessments, bug bounty, fuzzing.
• Drive adoption of security tools: static/dynamic analysis, dependency checks, license compliance.
• Nurture the engineering-security relationship and scale security processes.
• Handle information security events across ClickHouse products and services.
• Develop processes, tooling and automation to mitigate risks to the business.
