Bold Business is seeking a Python Automation Engineer to design and ship AI agent systems that integrate with CRM, ATS, and ERP platforms. You will work remotely with a US-based team, collaborating with architects and business users to ensure automation is useful and scalable.

The role focuses on building Python agents, connecting to APIs and webhooks, ensuring reliability, observability, and cost awareness.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of backend, automation, or AI in production.
• Production LLM APIs with tool calls, rate limits, and failure handling.
• Python code that others can maintain with tests and CI.
• REST and webhooks: idempotency, retries, timeouts.
• SQL beyond SELECT *. Postgres is a plus.
• Ability to read logs and diagnose root causes.

Responsibilities

• Build Python agents that behave as a system, not just prompts.
• Wire them to APIs, webhooks, data in/out, avoid duplicates.
• Collaborate with CRM/ATS/ERP teams; ensure APIs and events actually work for automation.
• Debug production and trace failures to tool, payload, or prompt.
• Log decisions, tool calls, and costs; alert early.
• Sit with users, observe usage, then iterate.
