Job summary

Karl Lagerfeld in Amsterdam is seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser to join the Women’s Accessories team. You will help shape the product assortment across all categories, driving sales performance and ensuring collections reflect both creative vision and commercial success.

You will lead range planning, market analysis, trend research, and calendar management while collaborating with design, product development and licensing partners to deliver timely, data-driven results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in fashion or Business is required or highly valued.
• 2-4 years of experience in Accessories and Bags Merchandising at a luxury/contemporary brand.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Up-to-date with latest trends and design.
• Ability to balance superior product design with commercial viability.
• Eye for detail and consistency; strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team; flexible and organized.

Responsibilities

• Range Planning & Product Development: lead range planning for Women’s Accessories; input to Design and Product Development.
• Market Analysis: deliver weekly market feedback; analyze sell-in/sell-out; identify opportunities.
• Trend & Competitor Research: stay ahead of industry trends and benchmark competitors.
• Product Calendar Management: oversee seasonal calendar for timely launches.
• Data-Driven Insights: analyze historical data to guide assortment planning.
• Sales Reporting: prepare reports on best-sellers and overall performance.
• Cross-Functional Communication: share product/style info with internal teams and partners.
• Sales Tools & Presentations: support line books, online tools, and merchandising presentations.
• Market Engagement: attend sales appointments and market visits for insights.
• Team Support: mentor junior merchandisers and interns.
