We are currently recruiting for a major Dutch logistics project and are looking for an Intern Project Manager to help us manage the details of this engagement. This is a full-time, fully remote role where you will work alongside our advisors to ensure that our collaborative work remains organized and efficient. You will gain direct experience in how a focused consultancy operates while helping a large client simplify their internal management habits.
About the role
At Olive Tree Consulting, we look for the friction that slows teams down. In this role, you will help us solve that friction for our clients. Because we focus on the space between a company's big strategy and its daily tasks, we need someone who can keep track of the small but vital details that keep a project moving. You will act as the organizational support for our work with a large logistics firm, ensuring that our internal team stays coordinated and that our client always knows what to expect next. This is not about being a manager of people, but about being a guardian of the process and the written record. This position is paid and offers a competitive rate for the internship market.
What you will do
- Attend remote meetings to capture clear, actionable notes that focus on specific decisions and assigned owners.
- Maintain and update internal project trackers to ensure all deadlines for the Dutch logistics project are met.
- Draft weekly status updates for our clients that summarize progress and highlight upcoming milestones.
- Help organize digital files and project documentation so that information is easily accessible to the whole team.
- Assist in mapping out work handoffs to identify where processes might be breaking down.
- Follow up with team members to collect the information needed for upcoming advisory sessions.
- Support the creation of simple, written guides or records that help client teams work more independently.
- Monitor project schedules to ensure that consultations and follow-ups are happening on time.
What we are looking for- Strong written skills in English, with an ability to turn long discussions into simple, clear summaries.
- An organized approach to work and a natural habit of double-checking details for accuracy.
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment and staying productive without constant supervision.
- The ability to stay calm and helpful when project requirements or schedules change.
- A curious mindset regarding how businesses are structured and how they solve problems.
- Reliability in meeting deadlines and a proactive approach to asking for clarification when needed.
Helpful background- Familiarity with common digital organization tools like Notion, Trello, or other project management software.
- Prior experience in a clerical, administrative, or support role where you had to manage tasks for others.
- Strong basic skills in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, particularly docs and spreadsheets.
- University-level studies in business, communications, operations, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating group projects or volunteer activities where keeping notes and schedules was required.
What the role offers
Working at Olive Tree Consulting means you will be part of a small, focused team that values practical work over corporate theatre. We offer a fully remote workspace, meaning you can work from your own professional setup without a commute. You will receive direct mentorship from our advisors and see exactly how a consultancy helps large organizations move from confusion to clarity. The atmosphere is professional and supportive, prioritizing the quality of our written work and the usefulness of our advice.
About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
